My name is Shehaan Johar and I am 23 years old and my preferred pronouns are he/him/his. I’m currently a 4th year Computer Science major at the University of Victoria with hopes to obtain a business minor since it will give me an edge in the ever-growing tech industry. I am currently employed by a tech company in Victoria called Cuboh, in which I am employed at the capacity of a Customer Success & Set-up Specialist.
I am an international student who is studying in Canada, Colombo, Sri Lanka is where I call home.
What’s Sri Lanka like, you ask? Think of it this way, it is a tropical paradise : with golden sand beaches, THE BEST seafood, Mountains and Hills, waterfalls and much more!

I have been living abroad since I was 17, where I first lived in America before I transferred to Canada in 2019. My experiences living abroad has broadened my knowledge on culture and race- where I made friends and connected with people from around the world.
Some of my interests and passions are : App Development, World Culture & Food, Traveling & Photography, Gaming, DJ-ing, Playing Guitar & Drums, Basketball & Rugby.

For my role as a Customer Success & Set-up Specialist, I was not initially required to possess technical skills — however, I learnt these skills while I was being trained. We work with API’s and many software project management tools which require a certain level of technical knowledge. I am hoping to join the tech team in time to come!
